Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare has won the gold in the 2014 Commonwealth games being held in Glasgow.  Blessing crossed the 100 meter finish line in 10.85 seconds, setting the Commonwealth record and her best.

Whe outrunned the Jamaican favorites, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart. The ease and relaxed demeanor with which she crossed the finish line pointed to the potential of improving her score even further in future games. She still has the 200 m and the long jump to compete in and, perhaps, win more medals.
